From the south: Leaving the M6 at Tebay you can take the B6260 for Appleby to visit Orton and turn left after the cattlegrid at the top of Orton Scar for Crosby Ravensworth. From the north: Leaving the M6 at Shap you can take the road for Appleby and go straight for Crosby Ravensworth or turn off right for Orton.
